911 Carrera

My first test drive in this gorgeous machine. Yup, some of us can find machines gorgeous... A 911 Carrera 3.2L and in absolutely incredible shape. The old girl runs like a rocket - and I pick her up tomorrow morning! I'm then taking Mo for a long drive along the coast down to Mornington Peninsula. It's supposed to be a bright, sunny day, lots of wind & 18°C - Slip the sunroof back, burble along and explore...

Rub-A-Dub-Dub, Three Men in a Tub!

We're smiling, but it was a crushing experience sitting with two (Very) very large New Zealander rugby players! Here I am with Brin & Jason on that flight from Auckland to Melbourne. Lovely fellows - G'day mates, I made it alive!

With Granny in Auckland

It was great to meet up with my mum, Margaret. She's in terrific shape and boundless energy. Her little dog Ebony was totally overwhelmed with all the affectionate crushing and squeezing! Tia has been promised a dog when she's 8 (and omigosh it's not too much longer now!). Mara's the big, Big Sister and responsible for Tia. Don't rush the growing-up Mara!

Mum's backyard, I still can't get over the wild ducks & geese landing there some mornings!

Here's mum with my brother Romir & with me.

We left the girls with their Gran, and they will fly out to join us inMelbourne in 2 weeks. I'm excited for them - it's like a big adventure on their own.

A Looong Slooow Exit

It's been a while since I got to my blog. We've been through the wringer and have made it. Melbourne here we come......

We had to say bye to Connie - our housekeeper, for 11 years, that wasn't easy - especially for the girls, but I'm sure we'll meet again.

And then we met with Cor & Shauna with Mats & Lars - so we had company all the way out. Here are the girls with Mat & Lars at a classic 'Kopitiam'.
