Guanajuato, October 11th

So we’ve been here 3 days, and feel almost local! We’re rested, know our way around and you could say we’re cruising. I caught up with an old classmate of mine from the San Francisco Art Institute, Maureen Ruddy Burkhart  is a photographer with an extensive reach. She lives here with her partner Grant. They took us for a spectacular meal at Restaurant Mercedes. Thank you! That’s the second SFAI person I met on this trip. The first was Carlos Mora, whom we met in México City. (Those I ages are not yet here - they were shot on my X-100F, which is a bit more of an effort to transfer out and post I will post those images later...  Below are the images of the 11th

Day 4 - In Guanajuato- October 10th

It’s my mum’s birthday,  Happy 95th Birthday Mum! It was great speaking to you, and thanks Romir for connecting the call which is difficult to do when you’re travelling.

We’re in Guanajuato. Incredible? Really. I will tone down the superlatives, but this place is a real beauty. Ah, but the hills... I can get worn down and the climbs are unreal, even superseding San Francisco! (Just a reminder, all of the US including California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and more, were once part of México).

So Guanajuato is a gem. We were slap-dab in the middle of the Cervantino festival, which meant the place was absolutely crazy crowded and festive and, well, insane....

Our second Day! San Miguel de Allende Oct 8th

Wow, have we recovered from our jet lag? Probably not... Day Two.
This beautiful little town nestled in the state of Guanajuato is spectacular.
We’re walking kilometres every day and just can’t get enough of the atmosphere...
