The Beach at Beaumaris.

Chinatown & Shanghai Noodle House

Like the rest of chinatown, sheer visual titillation and texture.

We discovered this very funky little dive in a small side street (off Little Burke St.) it had the token grubby tables, zip atmosphere, 'don't put your bags on the floor' kindof floor, harsh lighting, no decor, but of course, the food was oh so very special. We got in just before they shut, and judging by the streams of locals turned away, evidently very popular. Shanghai Noodle House, I'll be back...

Dec is winding down - '09 ahead

Mo starts to stuff the turkey. Kinda obscene now, but oboy, was it yummy...

This is actually a type of rose? Bizarre, but that what the sign says..

Other xmas time stuff

Here's Tia and Piper. They've wrapped their hair all 'round their face and whatever...

And here's Trevor, our neighbour and avid cyclist - he's a bon-bon for xmas! Season cheer.

And this wonderful, wild character at the Abbotsford farmers market.

We're hanging outside Rodrigo's...

And drinks at Nigel's..

Pelligrini's

Pelligrini is this great funky café downtown. Since 1954. Run by Nick DiSipio & Giovanni Rocco, it's laced with atmosphere and character and the coffee, well... guaranteed to get your heart racing.
