A Kodak Brownie! Remember it? My first camera. I was delighted to see this (with it's quirky lights) - it was magic. It made visual dreams and the stuff of imagination. It sort of dates me, but it distilled the essence of our ability to reproduce that moment with something so fundamentally basic. This one was in a shop window in Barkly Street at St. Kilda. As a sort of prop-like window dressing - not capturing images anymore, just triggering that nostalgic past. I'm not getting maudlin or anything, just reminiscing.....
