We had a late start on Monday (a holiday - labour day here). Stopped off at Dirk and Margaret's for a super lunch, and then went over to the nearby Sandringham Yacht Club and our girls went sailing along with Leonard and Victor - each in their own boat! I also went for a sail - cramped in a tiny sailing dinghy - had hell of a time, ran aground, tangled up with the pier, got rescued by Margaret and finally made it back ashore - kindof..
I'm built for bigger boats.
(I'm looking to purchase a boat - 125, Taser, 420, 570, Laser 2000. Don't know which. Still deciding what would be the best).
After packing the boats away, we hung out at the beach - a crisp sparkling champagne, watching the sun go down, sharing this with friends. What could be better? A great way to wind down the long weekend.
For your information, it takes 3 minutes from the time the sun touches the horizon to slip away out of sight. Sweet.
